Trying out Dropbox

without comments

I’m trying out Dropbox.  And it’s great.

The free (free!) version allows you to share files between computers .  Instead of faffing about with USB sticks, anything you save to your Dropbox folder syncs automatically and is there waiting when you get home.

It also helps me hit several points on this frickin’ excellent list, like ‘Keep as much as possible in plain text. Not Word or Pages documents, plain text’ in particular, which is handy if you use Windows in the office and a Mac at home.

The free (free!) account gives you two gigs of storage, but I’m not using anything like that. Recommended.
